Tank-kins Gets Clock Called

For the second time in the last 6 hands in Day 2 of the Masters Poker Series, with 12 players left, Shawn Rice has moved all in over a bet from the very patient, methodical Mike Hopkins.
The first time, Hopkins tanked for close to three minutes before laying down A♣T♣, seeing Rice flip over 77 and rake in the pot.

This time Rice calls the clock as the Tank is equally as long.

Tournament Director Paul Campbell begins the final countdown from 10, and Hopkins shouts out F*** when he reaches 5, grumbles more and tosses A♣Q♠ down face up while mucking.

Rice shows A♦Q♦ ...

same hand ..

Yeates Gets Some Back

Todd Anderson bets out 40,000 on the 7♣2♦2♣J♦ turn, is called by Norman Hall and folds to the 135,000 3-bet by Scott Yeates.

Hayes and Yeates check the river, Yeates showing J♣5♦ and Hall mucking without showing.

"I had two clubs there," said Hall.

"I had the best hand there, I just screwed up," said Anderson, who later told the table he had QJ.
"Nice bet there," he said to Yeates.

"Yeah, pretty hard to call there," Yeates added.

Anderson Doubles

Todd Anderson, founder of Poker Night in America, moves all in from the hijack and is called fron the button by Scott Yeates.

Anderson - K♥Q♦
Yeates - J♣J♥

The flop is all in Yeates' favor as the 3♦4♦A♣ falls.
The 8♦ turn is no help for Anderson, but when the Q♠ hits the river, Anderson moves his chips out, and Yeates sends 267,000 from his stack to the TV guy.

OK We Admit it

We are gathered under the TV monitor watching Jordan Spieth 3-putt 16 to fall into a 3-way tie, then miss his eagle putt on 18, but tap in for birdie ... only to see DJ BOMB his tee shot on 18, NAIL his approach to have 12 feet FTW ... then roll it 4 feet past and MISS the comebacker to lose the Open

Um, I mean, we are down to 59 players in the Masters Poker Series $400 and players have gone on a 15-minute break.
Blinds go to 1000/2000 when they return.

Entertaining Trio

The 1-2-3 seats over at table 81 are enjoying themselves and helping themselves to the chips of others also.

The 1 seat is none other than 2009 WSOP Main Event runner-up Darvin Moon (62,000 chips). On his left is Puyallup, Washington's Dave Price (152,000), and on Dave's left is Marry Gorenc (52,000).

The conversation is fun, a bit of poker, a bit of life in general, but the poker is solid and tough to get through.

Win Your Main Event Seat Here

Come to Binion's each of the next two Thursdays - June 25 and July 2 - and win your way into the WSOP Main Event from one of the best satellite structures anywhere around.

Start with 10,000 chips, play 30-minute levels, open at 25/25 blinds and there's a Main Event seat for every 20 entries in the $500+50 buyin event.
